Yes, we do! Through our Kiss the Hippo Cares programme, we’re committed to making coffee a force for good — for people and the planet.

Our key initiatives include:

• Being London’s first carbon-negative coffee brand, offsetting more CO₂ than we produce through verified reforestation projects with On A Mission.
• Transforming used coffee grounds into biofuel, partnering with bio-bean to give coffee a second life as advanced bioenergy.
• Providing clean drinking water to students in coffee-growing communities, like the Mwambui Secondary School in Kenya through Just a Drop.
• Recycling initiatives with London Zoo, donating used coffee sacks to support animal welfare and enrichment.
• Zero waste policies in our cafés via Too Good To Go and donations to local charities.
• Paying the living wage to all employees, as an accredited Living Wage Employer.
• Protecting biodiversity and supporting indigenous communities, with projects like rainforest conservation in Peru and Colombia via Rainforest Trust UK.
• Investing in the future of coffee, paying producers double the Fairtrade price, contributing to World Coffee Research, and funding sustainability research at Kew Gardens.
• Sourcing responsibly through long-term relationships with coffee producers and direct trade practices.
